ABOUT
Currently based in Kjipuktuk / Halifax, Nova Scotia., Jazz completed her Masters of Fine Arts at NSCAD University, where she received a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship to support her studies. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University, and upon completing her undergraduate studies she was chosen as the New Brunswick provincial winner of the BMO 1st Art Invitational Student Art Competition. She has been the recipient of multiple grants and awards including project and travel grants from the Canada Council for the Arts (2020, 2021, 2024), two grants from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation (2021 and 2025), project and presentation grants from Arts Nova Scotia (2023 and 2025), a project grant from Alberta Foundation for the Arts (2018) and a Sparkbox Studio Emerging Artist Award (2016). Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Sackville NB, Fort Langley BC, Montreal QC, Windsor ON, Toronto ON and Halifax NS
