ABOUT
Currently based in Kjipuktuk / Halifax, Nova Scotia, Jazz Keillor completed her Master of Fine Arts at NSCAD University, where she was awarded a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship. She is a two-time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant and has received numerous project grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, Arts Nova Scotia and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. In 2015, she was named the New Brunswick winner of the BMO 1st Art! competition.
Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Sackville, NB; Fort Langley, BC; Montreal, QC; Windsor, ON; Toronto, ON; and Halifax, NS. Her work belongs to private and public collections across the country, including the Sobeys Collection and the Global Affairs Canada Visual Art Collection.
She currently teaches part-time at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Her painting practice examines contemporary relationships to land, focusing on notions of wilderness and constructed landscapes
